Review and Swatches: I'm by MIZON Color Fit Painting Lip Lacquer

For some reason I've been obsessing about lip products lately and it doesn't even matter if it's a brand or a product not well reviewed on social media networks. (whew!) I get intrigued easily, especially if it's a Korean lip product, that has a great vivid and bold pigmentation. I always have the idea of Korean lips as soft and nude, more natural and muted colors or something glossy and gradient so vivid is the least I expect from them. (I like them soft and natural looking though)

Then, the brand MIZON created a range of lip lacquers I believe to be inspired by NEW YORK CITY! Yes, every color is in your face! Do I love it or Hate it? Keep reading to find out.

The color ranges from Pinks to Oranges ONLY! Yup, no red for you red lippy lovers out there but they have a gorgeous orange that I mistaken for red myself. Shall we take a look at them photos?

swatches on my hand

For the individual swatches...
Let me kick it off with the lighter shades (mostly unfitting me) then proceeding  towards the bolder colors.

Front view
....if you can read them good for you! teehee
The lightest of them all..orange hue wise...
Looking quite wearable on a day - day basis..=)
pardon the dumb face..haha
a closer look..with just one swipe...

at the back of my hand...
almost white to very pale pink with the wrong set of lights..hehe
it has a bluish purple undertone...i think..=)
something I would never wear or at least never wear alone...

see...NOT RED!
the 3rd one (from L to R) of the bottom swatches

i love this shade on me!
blotted with a regular tissue paper...matte! (less attention)

preeeetty!

same day...t'was getting a bit cold..hihi

Remember the photo above..swatches on my hand of all the shades? I just made a little experiment myself.

blotted with a tissue paper and everything transferred
the colors still pretty vivid..just smudged..
and this was after washing my hand with soap and water and roughly rubbing it
LIKES

  • the colors are vivid and so out there though some shades are not universally suitable for Filipina's
  • it's waterproof and stays as long as you want
  • the formula's not thick nor watery...it's just right and glides on smoothly
  • it's not as drying as the other lip lacquers or paint that I've tried but don't expect it to moisturize your lips either
  • I just love the fact that it has some gloss in it..I'm not really a matte lippy person and most of similar products to this tends to be a matte finish
  • it has a reasonable price for the quality of the product (ranges from P400-P600 I guess) hehe
  • it's build-able and it won't look chapped or caked (lips version) if you re-apply
  • the packaging is gorgeous with NEW YORK CITY as its inspiration

DISLIKES

  • it's not locally available..you really have to search for it
  • sooo hard to remove so better not mess up on your initial application
  • not wearable on a day to day basis unless you're that kind of a bold person
  • the color transfers so definitely not husband or boyfriend proof

NOTE: I'm never doing this kind of review anymore where I swatch all the colors and try them on my lips in just one sitting, that is for lip paints or lacquers only. I felt like I rubbed off my lips and t'was really painful...ALL FOR THE LOVE OF BEAUTY!!! haha

I hope I covered everything up but if you have any further queries and your curiosity won't let you sleep just comment down below and I'll honestly answer them for as much as I can.

You better enjoyed this post!...and keep smiling!
