I have an issue...Are you like me, a BOX HOARDER?

I have a problem, an issue yet to be resolved. It's an addiction that started from nowhere and a habit very difficult to get rid of. Hello everyone, I'm Limay, and I'm a BOX HOARDER! (nyak...haha)

This is not a Haul...but a should have been haul post. ha ha All the pictures shown below are boxes of my existing and all done beauty products and tools.

NOTE: I accumulated these products/boxes for a year or two so don't judge me of overspending in a week or a month's time. Also, most of the products from these boxes are still in use, some were given away while others emptied and thrown in trash...or kept? (cute packaging probably)

 Why? Just because...

The story is, I was cleaning up my room the other day 'coz storage is an issue for me right now. We keep buying stuff without throwing much so it's become crowded in our bedroom. While doing so, I saw all these packages occupying  majority of my daughter's closet. I started to remember why I kept them all this time and I just wanna share them all to you especially to those who have the same attachment as I have with my boxes before I finally say goodbye to these babies and put them into trash.

Have you ever felt like it's less appealing to see your makeup or skincare products without their boxes, like they're naked or something? I have, but that's just one of the shallow reasons why I kept all these boxes.

WHY?
  • because I am yet to write a blog post about it. Most of the time I get too excited and jump the product right away without taking pictures of it yet. I try it right away to see whether I like it or if it works on me setting the box aside for future photo opt when I'm ready to write a review (which actually never happen as earlier as should have)

  • because I'm thinking of selling them if I happen to dislike the product or if it doesn't work on me. Especially with lip products, I use it once or twice and if I think the formulation is too matte for me or the shade doesn't complement my skin tone, I give them away or resell them in a cheaper price.
  • because of lack of info in the immediate packaging. The "how to use", ingredients and even shade names or numbers can not be found in the bottle or container of the product. Usually boxes are the ones who hold the key to such knowledge and I must not let go of that..without even taking a picture first.

  •  because I was thinking of recycling these boxes. I try to make use of them as a divider or actual storage for my miscellaneous tiny stuff

  •  because I use some of them as reference whenever I feel artsy fartsy. I get inspired by the packaging whenever I think of scrap-booking or simply use the materials for my scrapbook, which I haven't done in quite a while now.

  • because the packaging it too cute for the trash bin...cute stuff lovers, you know what I mean right? ;P

Those are just my reasons/excuses be it meaningful or shallow to some. It's a hobby for me and my expression of appreciation on the efforts made making and thinking thoroughly of the total image of the product. It's not easy conceptualizing and producing good quality packaging afterall.

So, do we share the same issue? Do you have the same heart for these boxes as I do? Or do you think it's just clutter that's meant to be thrown right away? (heartless!) hehe If so, I'd like to read your comments and talk about it more. I also took pictures in sections to show what I have yet to throw so If you see a product you wish for me to write a review ASAP then do leave a comment as well. I'll write it as fast as I can. ;D.

Hope you enjoyed and keep smiling!
